Schlitterbahn Waterpark
Almost any family trip to South Padre Island isn’t complete without a day at the family-friendly Schlitterbahn Waterpark. A s featured on the Travel Channel, Schlitterbahn Beach is one of the best waterparks in the United States.
Schlitterbahn Beach is unique in that it has a “lazy river” where you grab a tube, hop on, and get to wait in line while on the tube in the water – no standing & waiting. Also, Schlitterbahn Beach has NO admission charge if you simply want to come & watch your kids and sun bathe.
For our preteens & teens, Schlitterbahn hasn’t forgotten you – with their incredible knee board/boogie board surfing wave machine known as the Boogie Bahn – the largest in the USA. This ride includes the wave, water, knee board/boogie board, and a couple tips before you get in. The best part? When you wipe out, you are carried by the wave up to this soft foam drainage area so you land in no water at all.
Coolers are ok at the park if you’d like to pack a lunch – however, alcoholic beverages (bring in) are not allowed.

One-day admission includes the use of all water attractions, inner tubes, and bodyboards. Lifejackets and children's tubes with bottoms are available.
